Yes, we had the Peter's Pence appeal at my parish last Sunday. Not a penny to the present regime from me. I recall the wonderful Belgian nuns who taught us 60 years ago and told us that all the money went to the Holy Father's charities. But that was back in the days when we still trusted priests.
There’s literally no way I will ever donate to a Vatican-run charity/fund, especially after the reporting that The Pillar has done. (I find it difficult enough to donate to our local bishop’s appeal for fear some of the money may make it to Rome. I feel pretty good about tithing to our parish at least, and other independent groups fulfilling the works of mercy.)
A Luke Coppen article without graphs or graphics, especially one with numbers? Crazy!
would be nice to figure out why the US is the only country that gives big money. Is it easy to adjust based on the average income of Catholics in the country? i.e. do Catholics in the US give more proportionally, or are the actual Catholics in the US just richer?

Why does the US fund so much more than anyone else? Why are the administrative costs of PP such a large percentage?

I’m a sinner, please pray for me.

Sorry to disappoint you with the absence of graphics! Those are very good questions.
