Dolan, Gonzales, Cordileone, and Broglio - based on their scripture and theology scholarship - can help Bannon and friends with applying their “rough Roman justice”.

“Bannon went on to say that Democrats and their institutions “don’t deserve any respect, you don’t deserve any empathy, and you don’t deserve any pity.… You deserve what we call rough Roman justice, and we’re prepared to give it to you.””

I have no idea what you intend to convey with this comment, with regard to the four named bishops, so I think I'll just go back to not reading news for another week. While charitable words are not ineffective, prayer is actually far more effective (it is just not as satisfying, because it seems to do nothing.)

Another likelihood - none of them voted ASP, only fools like me following my conscience.

I voted ASP in a non-battleground state, am pleased that Trump won, and I have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

On Tuesday I had the strong intuition that God knew what he was about in giving us the Mass readings he did that day, especially about every knee bending and tongue confessing Jesus's Lordship. I'm still carrying that reading with me two days later, though unfortunately through my fallen-ness it's slowly fading.

One would hope that all Catholics regardless of their general political leanings would understand that now is the time to ensure you are living your faith and advocate as needed on behalf of the most vulnerable, as we are directed by Jesus.

For some that will be directly advocating to the politicians in power. For others it will be to use their time and talents to help. ore directly, either through donations or volunteering. For our clergy, I hope it will be by reminding us that we must live our faith, not just proclaim it. (My aging pastor speaks on this often.)

For me, I am doing a bit of both time and talents in the area of food insecurity. I volunteer for St. Vincent and I donate to multiple food banks. I wish I could help everyone and everything but I cannot so I picked something important to me.

I would hope all of here who care enough to follow the work of the Church so closely keep examining our actions and conform to His will.

I would urge all of us to

Approximately 4 million illegal immigrants have been deported over the last 4 years. Raising objections about deporting millions of people at Trump's inauguration seems a bit behind the times. When you have millions coming in per year, deporting millions per year might not constitute "mass deportation", as it is generally conceived.

If the bishops clearly call out the Trump administration for the support of gay marriage, abortion pills, contraception, and IVF, that will be quite welcome. I think it would mark the first time they've clearly announced those things publicly and directly to a politician.

Can’t wait to see how an immoral ,indicted felon is supported or not supported by Broglio.

Hope it is with the same vitriol they pilloried Biden on ONE issue- abortion. I guess 34 wrongs don’t measure up to one? Not talking about babies talking about two men.
