The disciplinary proceedings come amid a push to impose a new version of the Syro-Malabar Church’s Eucharistic liturgy.
While I’m glad to see tribunals getting used instead of the often abused administrative substitutes, a “special disciplinary tribunal” just sounds like a drumhead (not that there is any evidence it is!)
Synodality at its finest in Ernakulum -Angamaly where the hierarchy is so obviously not willing to hear a thing the laity and lower level clergy say.
Not sure that synodality (“going together on the road”) can exist where one side blocks the other from even entering the building.
