You really get a sense for who they are as human beings, and you feel like part of a family. I actually have commenters on here who I look forward to reading the comments from on the articles because I appreciate their perspective and insights, especially because they sometimes or frequently differ than mine. They are no less committed to or obedient to Christ or Holy Mother Church than I am, they just offer a different perspective that I find valuable that I could otherwise miss because of my own biases and blind spots (and we all have those).
I really appreciate the financial-related reporting!
Most on the Catholic news sources don't, partly due to factionalism (perhaps), but mostly from the lack of skill in following the threads and patience in following long-developing stories. It has been the financial-related stories that drove me to subscribe - I know how difficult it is to build such stories and tell them in a comprehensible way.
