Amazing! I have done the "round trip in a day from Pittsburgh" bus in some prior year (tiring) but a 24 hour ride is a profound witness. God will not be outdone in generosity so what I would recommend to folks is to be open to receiving whatever it is He would like to give in return.
He is one of the most gregarious, fun, and enjoyable priests that I have ever met. I was sad to see him be transferred from our parish to Benedictine, but our loss is those student's gain. I can imagine hearing his laughter echoing through the charter bus.
Oh, the memories of riding on a bus to the March. This is a great summary of how it goes almost every time. I'm shocked you made it to the back of the bus in the middle of the night without landing on someone sleeping on the floor, Jack Figge.
So glad to have my alma mater always sending so many. So many great memories of being there. Praying for everyone there to have a blessed, peaceful day. Filled with great memories and determination to fight for life from womb to the tomb.
Hands down, my favorite part of this march was the crowd from the diocese of Baton Rouge, in matching white hats which came off at least 8 buses. (With several varieties of nuns, priests, and some people who at least briefly wore pirate hats). While waiting for the start, they did line dances, a version of the YMCA song that mentioned various odd and unfortunate things happening to the water supply on the buses, and some calls and responses, including:
Thank you for enduring a long bus ride to share this account! It provided entertainment as well as hope for the younger generation.
This brings back memories of many bus trips to the March for Life!
Looking forward to reading further reports, Jack.
Figge! Didn’t know you wrote for the Pillar!

Great reporting and analysis here, Figge! Your journalism is always thoroughly entertaining, informative, and brings hope to the Church!
A 24 hr. bus ride with Fr. Christian Schwenka?

The Diocese of Lincoln has the best priests.
I'm amused to hear how similar this is to my experiences with March for Life bus trips from decades past. Prayers for you all!

We have the Wavelength board game, it is quite fun, takes a little while to figure out. Sounds like quite the adventure you all had!
I am so appreciative of all who went to march to end abortion. Thank You.

"What do we want!?"
*incomprehensible something against abortion*
"How do we get it!?"
