Dear faux-Ed: I wonder if the statistic of "56% of Americans believe that offering meat free options at Thanksgiving is “important.”" is akin to abortion polls, where it matters how you ask. I'm sure, being a meat-loving red-blooded American, if you asked it like "is meat good?" most people would answer "yes, meat good!" But, if you ask "is it important that we don't openly ridicule those less fortunate among us who don't eat meat every day (knowing that it must be some evil doctor that convinced them of this" then many of us would reply "grumble grumble sure, I guess so."
overall excellent newsletter. Maybe non-Ed should take over more often for real Ed so he can get to the real doctor who may convince him to at least give up his smoking so he'll stick around with us all longer!
Michelle, your essay was pure genius—an “Ed-torial” masterpiece! You’ve captured Ed’s essence so perfectly that I half-expected the article to end with a recipe for smoked brisket or a rant against leafy greens. Bravo on delivering curmudgeonly charm with such finesse.
Hopefully, Ed will take more breaks so we get to know you better—your wit and style are a refreshing addition to The Pillar Post. Well done!
This has been excellent and I also enjoy when Kate or Michelle fills in on the podcast, I go through withdrawals when we go a week without a new episode
Very amusing. And thanks for the Turkish coverage!
Hilarious! Thanks Michelle!
Will somebody be doing an “in persona JD” newsletter in the future? 😉
Brava, Michelle!
You nailed it Michelle! Bravo!
Oh my this is awesome!
Amazing!

I decided to go with "99% of polls made available to the public are deliberately skewed in order to influence the behavior of the public".
If we were to add bacon bits to everything that is not meat, only the Muslims and vegetarians would object.
Extremely well done, Michelle! And echoing Robert’s hopes for Ed.’s long and healthy life.
Emily: This is brilliant. Michelle should impersonate Ed all the time.
Chris: How would we even know? It sounds just like him.
Thanks for this Thanksgiving treat. We love you all.
If this demonstrates anything, I think it's that Michelle should get a guest spot in the Pillar Post more often.
Brilliantly done, Michelle!
I legit laughed out loud at "My favorite part of the meal is the meat." Well done Michelle.
Ed who?

Pillar pod pass the Bechdel test: Kate and Michelle episode, JD and Ed take the week off!
