Dear Lord, this man is a disgrace to the Church. Yet no one will act to remove him. He will bankrupt the diocese of Knoxville at this rate. What is the market price for a brand new cathedral?
Clearly, they don't! And in no diocese that is! They care not about the detriment inflicted on souls nor the scandals they are subjecting Christ's flock to.....They only care about covering their behinds and placing the good name of disgraceful clergy above all else...Lord, I implore You , Spare us, PLEASE!
How many more times do we have to find out about the deception of Bishop Richard Stika and the Diocese of Knoxville? Cover-up is rampant. We have been betrayed since September 8, 1988 when this diocese of Knoxville was instituted and we were given a pedophile for a bishop. It is documented. Please wake up.
Knew the first one personally as a teenager and can only say that the pain caused by this current situation only adds to my distrust of the fallen humanity that has failed to lead the Church through these traitorous events. I believe we will continue down this path as long as there is prosperity to indulge the senses and not the suffering we so desperately need for reform. God have mercy on their souls.
Truth spoken so well here. Keep letting your voice be heard. We so need to expose the first bishop's Knoxville abuse to awaken the people. Most don't believe that O'Connell did anything in Knoxville. Such a horrible injustice was perpetrated by Bishop Joseph Kurtz, Father Vann Johnston, and now Bishop Stika and Cardinal Rigali. Check out the truth here., https://prezi.com/view/tmg0maife9tlMIbsMQ48/
The nuncio has known about problems for at least the last eight years or so. That's not to say he can act on his own; I doubt he can. But the Vatican is leaving people hanging as we continue to be subjected to this one-man show, who has the ultimate wisdom to decide who is lying and who is not.

What about the people of the diocese, who must sit by and watch this happen? Does anyone care about us?
Join the vigil for victims this weekend. More info as it unfolds.

Kyrie eleison.
I don't remember his comments in prior articles about his threatening to sue. Was this verbal or in writing?
you think if >1 complaint the bishop would be required to go into sabbatical or something, taking him out of diocese while things are figured out.
Yes, PLEASE continue pursuing the apostolic nuncio ...the more severe a bishop's cover up, the more 'affectionately' he pats them on the back!!

Our shepherd seems to have little regard for us sheep.
