Does Pope Francis realize that by interfering in the sovereignty of the Order of Malta he is effectively making the sovereignty of Holy See look that much more violable by other international powers?
This, combined with a mishandling of the finance scandal trial, more abuse allegations, etc. doesn't spell the existence of the Holy See as a international player for much longer.

Perhaps if the Dames had more authority at the top it could flow on to keep male ego's in check. It seems like ego's are playing some part here imho.
Oh for sure, because dames never ever participate in intrigues and infighting and talking behind other's backs.
It can take a women to sort things, like Catherine of Siena did when pride and bluster were deadlocking the process.
Follow the money. Pope Francis, Boselager, Becciu; the professed first class of the Order don't have a chance.
