And so we see the face of Christ in the most unlikely faces. We need more journalism like this that complicates the manichean instinct to cast “goodies and baddies”.
It's encouraging to see some Fulani rejecting the brutal criminal element among them. Fulani kidnappers' collaboration with Boko Haram can be greatly reduced if more communities act this way.
On the other hand, they freed a Catholic priest accidentally (while looking for a kidnapped woman), so I fear this may have been an exception to the trend in Nigeria.
I can't tell you how grateful I am for a story with a positive ending that proves normal Fulanis can be very good people! We needed this story! May God bless the Fulanis who intervened to help!!!
What a wild story. Excellent reporting!
God bless these good Samaritans!
How can we contribute to OTVI?
I scrolled to the bottom at https://otvi.org/ (on a previous article) and found a "Donate now" button that goes to their PayPal address.
Thank you for reporting this.
