I don't know that I have anything insightful to say, but I am grateful that The Pillar has added Jason and his reporting on the Philippines to its roster. I also really enjoyed the format of this deep dive; I learned a lot!

None of these men are perfect, nor is the Church in the Philippines in general, but as a Filipino American I'm happy to see my "kababayan" being such a force for good. And as someone who has sometimes felt that Filipinos are invisible or ignored, I'm always happy when the world (including myself) can learn a little more about our people.
