JD, people are not only reading the Pillar; I often pray during the intercessions in the Liturgy of the Hours for the Pillar, its staff/writers/editors, and the folks in the comment section (as I did last night). May God reward you all generously for your labors (even Ed).
Among many consolations during that wonderful conference was that I saw only one small “Catholics for Trump” sign- 2 people holding it on the steps of the monument (whatever it was) in the middle of the roundabout that we negotiated during the outdoor procession. It was a joy to be a Catholic among Catholics without political tribalism.
It was also great to love the bishops- it seems like they felt the love, and we knew of their love in return. And the religious sisters and priests! Wow! The joy and fellowship throughout the days was palpable.
Out of the Pillar's National Eucharistic Congress coverage, the experiences shared by my fellow Pillar readers in the comments is what I have enjoyed the most!
I sadly wasn't able to make it, but hearing about how members of the Church have had their faith deepened, the joy of encountering each other (very synodal, yeah?), and that we can all still come together in large numbers to fraternally be in each others company in the presence of our Lord, without fractious social or political fighting, has really helped me have a positive view of what we can be as a society again.
Thank you everyone for your Eucharistic stories...I look forward to reading more in the days to come!
// Still, I’d like you to imagine how much we could do for the Church together if that were 16%. Or 18%. Or 20%. //
The Internet's a big begging bowl. Inevitable, perhaps, but sad. Money money everywhere. Nevertheless, some subscriptions matter much more than most. Ongoing thanks.
I had hoped to run into you! I did make it to the live podcast but could only stay for half. I sing the praises of The Pillar to all my Catholic friends everywhere I go.

Were JD Vance & his wife the 2 holding the “Catholics for Trump” sign?

-Perfect framing of the religious sister in the background. Considering the look on her face, I wonder what she's thinking?
“You can’t take the boy out of the man, and that’s a good thing.”
JD, I really appreciate the work you are doing with the Pillar. Thank you, and God Bless.
Wish we had been in Indianapolis-- and would have been awesome to meet you. Love your writing! Thanks for all you do!
Some guy looks just like Chris Stefanick
funny how that happens...
Maybe Chris just nails the everyman look so hard that every man looks just like him
If that is everyman then I surely wish I was a bit more...every...
He looks like a Real Life Catholic!
Come on lurkers, support the website if you are able!
My husband and I both agree that you look like the Ghost of Christmas Present in The Muppet Christmas Carol movie in that first picture!😊
Weirdly, you're not the first to tell me that!!
Maybe it’s not weird at all!
Not at all sure about the beards?😳

We only donate to Catholic apostolates and charities, that makes the choices much easier.
If we want good work to be done in the Church and the world then we have to support it.
God Bless The Pillar for the work they do!
