> I feel like sometimes when it really hurts, I can carry other people's wounds to him
That we are part of the one mystical body of Christ is always an intensely real fact, but some days I see the intense realness of it (like in this paragraph) more than other days.
Bridget, you speak for me when you share the truth that we are each part of one mystical body of Christ. As I was reading this article, I realize a need for me to share, in someway, in their pain, not to appropriate it, but to share in it, to help with healing...somehow. I'm thinking out loud here, so my thoughts aren't fully developed, but they're genuine.
What a blessing to read this interview. It's unvarnished and I'm deeply grateful that she has found peace. JD, what can I do to help? You have insight into this and I'd love to benefit from it.
May God continue to pour His grace upon Teresa. She is an amazing, almost impossible to comprehend, person of faith and she is the face of Jesus for so many. I'm humbled to know of her work despite the pain, or because of it. Lord, have mercy.
Such a deeply impressive woman, in so many ways. I'm also struck by her mention of our bishops, that they've been wounded by the abuse crisis. They have a very lonely job, very difficult, and very much need our prayers and other means of support.

This is a beautiful, hopeful interview covered in grace.
