He wrote a glowing recommendation for the “Sanctuary of Divine Mercy,” a 24hr adoration chapel that was to be next to Saint Stanislaus Kostka (My favorite Parish, btw.) Thankfully, the project never went through but a beautiful Monstrance (The Iconic Monstrance) intended for the chapel is now in the Church building, which IS open 24/7 for adoration outside the scheduled Mass times.
I remember asking him at a FOCUS conference in Chicago (or maybe Indianapolis) “At what point of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass does the Mystical Slaying of Christ occur?” I can’t recall what he said, but I remember being unsatisfied with the answer. This was at the Liturgy Guys Podcast booth.
I think Pius XII clarified that it is at the double consecration. Before, many theologians held it was at the priest's communion. But I would have to spend some time finding sources for that.
