I wish I could trust that the Vatican would not punish someone without a trial but I simply can’t. If they are willing to avoid taking someone to trial to avoid that individual being punished then it is not difficult to imagine them doing the opposite in this case. But I also don’t trust Cipriani who has been inconsistent in details about his sanctions.

It is like having two friends (if you would still consider them friends) blaming something on each other. The one friend has lied to you too many times to trust anything they claim and they are silent on some details which make you wonder what they’re hiding (Vatican). The other friend tells a story that doesn’t quite add up but it’s not totally out of the realm of possibility what they claim (Cipriani). Thus, you’re left to wonder where the truth lies. Yuck!

This is one example of two related weaknesses of Pope Francis: a disregard of law and procedure, and a proclivity of telling the person in front of him whatever he thinks they want to hear. I don't doubt the pope told Cardinal Cipriani that the penalites were lifted in his meeting. But there is no official record.

Cipriani looks too much like Teddy. Therefore, this Tribunal declares him guilty of being a perv.

I am starting to think at this point it might be useful for The Pillar to save templates so that when writing articles pertaining to lack of accountability of clergy and prelates it goes much faster to give the team more time to do other things like eat keto bars or spend time with family

I mean seriously how many times will the Vatican keep allowing this

I always believe you are innocent until proven guilty. However, if it involves abuse, you should want to make sure that the truth is the only goal. I have no idea if this Cardinal is guilty or innocent. I do believe that God knows the TRUTH. We live in very dark times, where the truth seems to be adulterated.. However, the Cardinal is entitled to a speedy trial , to face his accusations and prove his innocence. In a case of abuse, if you are innocent of all charges , you should accept the process. The abused victim is the protected and the protected person until proven otherwise." Vengeance is mine says the LORD. "( ROMANS 12:19) Safeguarding the abused and the prevention of further abuse , is paramount. This means it can take time. Any Catholic should accept God's trial with mercy, grace and thanksgiving. God's timing is perfect. Jesus I trust that you know the truth. God, You are in charge. All that is hidden will be made clear.
